Rachel's Polished Mirror

Based on the Mendoza Codex, an Aztec codex from c.1553ish. Created for War of the Wings VI (Oct. 2011).

This is a baronial newbie award made for a friend that is looking into an Aztec persona. It was a really fun excuse to do something different, and it was a very easy style to mess with. The calligraphy was interesting, though, as usual - it's in Spanish in the original codex, so I had a problem making my English look as illegible as the Spanish looked to me. :/

Almost all of the little critters and whatnot are based off the stuff in the manuscript and are mostly related back to stuff relevant to the recipient. I think mah favorite is the derp turtle.
