Wymarc's Opalby ~Merwenna

Traditional Art / Typography / Calligraphy

This is another one where I only did a portion of the scroll. All I did was the colored capital letters at the top of the scroll, the colored letters with rubrication for the recipient's name, and the bottom half of the illumination with the Opal award badge and whitevine swirlybits. (and yes - I realize belatedly that I forgot to color in the 'L'... DAMMIT.)

The illuminated 'I' was done by Elenor of Grey, and the lovely Italian rotunda calligraphy was done by Isemay the Nimble. She had never gotten to make a scroll for this particular friend of ours, so the time crunch sort of worked in our favor. I could add the badge, she does excellent Italian callig, and ta-da! An Isemay scroll for a Wymarc.
